These General Terms and Conditions govern all bookings, stays, and use of accommodation provided by Laskill Retreat. By making a booking or staying at the property, the lead guest agrees to these Terms and Conditions on behalf of all members of their party.
These Terms and Conditions should be read alongside the individual policies published on this website, including but not limited to the Booking and Cancellation Policy, House Rules and Guest Behaviour Policy, Damage and Security Deposit Policy, Pet Policy, Accessibility Statement, Health and Safety Policy, and Complaints and Customer Service Policy.
1. Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions:
“Laskill Retreat” refers to the accommodation provider and property owner.
“Guest” or “Guests” refers to any person staying at or visiting the property under a booking.
“Lead Guest” refers to the individual who makes the booking and is responsible for the booking and all members of their party.
“Property” refers to any accommodation unit or building forming part of Laskill Retreat.
2. Booking and Payment
All bookings are subject to the Booking and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms and Conditions.
A booking is confirmed once the required deposit has been received and confirmation has been issued.
The Lead Guest is responsible for ensuring that all payments are made by the required deadlines and that all information provided at the time of booking is accurate.
Failure to pay the balance by the required date may result in cancellation of the booking in accordance with the Booking and Cancellation Policy.
3. Occupancy
Only the guests listed on the booking confirmation may stay overnight at the property.
Additional overnight guests are not permitted without prior approval from Laskill Retreat.
The Lead Guest is responsible for the behaviour and conduct of all members of their party and any visitors invited onto the property.
4. Use of the Property
Guests must use the property solely for lawful holiday accommodation purposes.
Guests must comply with all applicable policies including the House Rules and Guest Behaviour Policy during their stay.
The property must not be used for illegal activities, commercial events, or any purpose that may cause disturbance to other guests or neighbouring properties.
5. Guest Behaviour
Guests are expected to behave in a respectful and responsible manner throughout their stay.
Laskill Retreat reserves the right to terminate a stay without refund if guests engage in behaviour that:

creates excessive disturbance to other guests

breaches the House Rules or other site policies

poses a risk to the safety or wellbeing of others
6. Pets
Pets are permitted in accordance with the Pet Policy published on the website.
Guests bringing pets must comply fully with the conditions set out in that policy.
The Lead Guest remains responsible for any damage or disturbance caused by pets.
7. Damage and Security Deposits
Guests are responsible for any damage or loss caused during their stay.
The Damage and Security Deposit Policy outlines the circumstances under which charges may apply and when a refundable security deposit may be required.
By making a booking, the Lead Guest agrees to cover the reasonable cost of repair, replacement, or additional cleaning required due to damage caused during the stay.
8. Health and Safety
Guests must familiarise themselves with the safety information provided within their accommodation.
This includes fire safety procedures, emergency contact information, and the use of safety equipment.

Guests must not tamper with or misuse safety equipment provided within the property.
9. Accessibility
Information regarding accessibility features within the accommodation is provided within the Accessibility Statement and Accessibility of Services and Facilities Policy.
Guests with specific accessibility requirements are encouraged to contact Laskill Retreat prior to booking to ensure that the accommodation is suitable for their needs.
10. Complaints
If a guest experiences any issue during their stay, it must be reported as soon as reasonably possible so that Laskill Retreat has the opportunity to resolve the matter.
The procedure for raising complaints is outlined in the Complaints and Customer Service Policy.
Complaints raised only after departure may limit the ability to investigate or resolve the matter.
11. Liability
Laskill Retreat shall not be liable for loss, damage, or injury suffered by guests or visitors during their stay except where such liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Guests are responsible for their own personal belongings and vehicles during their stay.
Vehicles and their contents are parked entirely at the owner’s risk.
12. Circumstances Beyond Our Control
Laskill Retreat shall not be liable for failure to perform obligations where such failure is due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:

extreme weather conditions

power outages

natural disasters

government restrictions

unavoidable property damage or safety concerns
In such circumstances, bookings may be cancelled or modified where necessary.
13. Website Use
Use of the Laskill Retreat website is governed by the Website Terms of Use published on the website.
14. Changes to Terms and Policies
Laskill Retreat reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions and any associated policies at any time.
The most current version will always be published on the website.
Guests are responsible for reviewing the applicable policies before making a booking.
15. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes arising from a booking or stay at Laskill Retreat shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
