This Booking and Cancellation Policy applies to all reservations made with Laskill Retreat and forms part of the website Terms and Conditions.
1. Booking Confirmation and Deposit
1.1 A booking will only be confirmed once a deposit equal to 25% of the total booking value has been received.
1.2 The deposit is required at the time of booking in order to secure the requested accommodation and dates.
1.3 Once the deposit has been received, a booking confirmation will be issued. At this point a legally binding agreement between the guest and Laskill Retreat is formed.
2. Payment of Balance
2.1 The remaining balance of the booking cost must be paid no later than 30 days prior to the scheduled arrival date.
2.2 If the balance payment is not received by the due date, Laskill Retreat reserves the right to:

cancel the booking, and

retain the deposit already paid.
2.3 Laskill Retreat may, at its sole discretion, attempt to contact the guest prior to cancelling the booking, however this is not guaranteed.
3. Cancellation by the Guest
3.1 All cancellations must be made in writing (for example by email) and are deemed to take effect from the date the cancellation is received.
3.2 Refunds will be issued according to the following schedule:

| 7 days to 48 hours before arrival | 75% refund of the total booking cost |

3.3 Where a refund is due, it will normally be processed using the same payment method used for the original booking.
3.4 Laskill Retreat reserves the right to deduct any non-recoverable transaction or administration fees incurred during the booking process where applicable.
4. Failure to Arrive (No-Show)
4.1 If a guest fails to arrive on the scheduled arrival date without prior notice, the booking will be treated as a cancellation within 48 hours of arrival, and no refund will be payable.
4.2 In such cases, the accommodation may be re-let without further notice.
5. Changes to Bookings
5.1 Requests to change booking dates must be made in writing.
5.2 Changes are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
5.3 Where a change cannot be accommodated, the request will be treated as a cancellation and the refund terms outlined above will apply.
6. Cancellation by Laskill Retreat
6.1 In the unlikely event that Laskill Retreat is unable to honour a confirmed booking due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control (including but not limited to property damage, safety concerns, or unforeseen operational issues), Laskill Retreat reserves the right to cancel the booking.
6.2 In such circumstances, guests will receive a full refund of all payments made, and Laskill Retreat shall have no further liability for additional costs, losses, or expenses incurred by the guest.
7. Travel Insurance
Guests are strongly advised to obtain appropriate travel insurance to cover cancellation, illness, travel disruption, or other unforeseen circumstances that may affect their booking.
